Web-based support documents for learning R for statistics

This digital artefact is provided as a compressed folder (.zip) that contains an RStudio project with quarto documents that intersperse prose with code and its output to scaffold learning R for statistical analysis (A1, K1, K4, LTESV 8). Each document can be rendered into an html file to produce a cohesive website. Student versions of each document are provided which give empty code blocks for completion. Full instructions and links to additional tutorials are provided in the README.md file.

    Advice for reuse

This Digital Artefact illustrates how to produce an interactive website that can be adapted for other modules. I initially created these documents at the request of students who were struggling to learn their first coding language. These exercises are supplemental to the main module content and aim to help students develop the skills to independently write code for managing data and performing statistical analyses.

The first exercise (R Basics) reviews the basics of R, including key data storage types, functions, control structures, and plots. It is intended as a review for students who struggled in the first year R course, or a crash course for those who are new to R. The remaining exercises (Practice 1 & 2) give additional practice questions tailored to the curriculum of H2 Data Science. This includes basic data manipulation and plotting as well as ANOVA, simple linear regression, and t-tests.

Navigate between pages with the left sidebar or within a page with the right sidebar.

To modify the site, open a .qmd (but not a 'student' version), update the text or code, and click the blue arrow labelled "Render" at the top of the file.

See the [quarto website](https://quarto.org/docs/get-started/hello/rstudio.html) for tutorials, examples, and extensive help documentation.
